HUNTSVILLE — For a Scott team that started the season 5-1, Friday's District 4-AA opener against Knox Catholic here was another big step in the right direction, as the Lady Highlanders emerged victorious, 50-46.

Victoria Lloyd scored 19 points and had six rebounds to lead three Lady Highlanders in double figures. Jessica Edwards added 14 points.

Scott jumped to a five-point lead in the first quarter, with Lloyd scoring 10 of her 19 in the first eight minutes of the ballgame.
