Oneida coach Marv West said he added Cosby — and, later in the season, Clarkrange — to this year’s schedule so his team could “find out where we stand.”

Friday’s 66-62 win over the perennially-tough Eagles went a long way towards answering that question for Oneida (2-1).

For a Lady Indian squad looking to return to its glory days of having a major say-so in who advances to the sectionals and state tournament from Regions 1-A and 2-A, non-district wins aren’t often bigger than Friday’s win over Cosby (4-2).
