It might seem strange to refer to a basketball team having only one senior as a seasoned team.

But after last year's learning experienced for Jackson Sharp's very young team of Lady Highlanders, this year's team can be referred to as just that.

"Last year we were predominately sophomores. This year we're predominately juniors," Sharp said. "We've got a little bit of age now."

The lone senior on the team is Victoria Lloyd, who will enter her final season as an all-district type of player who is drawing some looks from college coaches.

But joining Lloyd will be two more returning starters — juniors Merry Carson and Jessica Edwards — and several others with varsity experience.
