HUNTSVILLE — In a senior night affair that featured plenty of twists and turns, Scott rallied from behind to win for the second time this season here Friday, defeating Cumberland Gap 55-27 with a dominant second half.

Scott (7-3) closed out its regular season by making this the school’s first seven-win regular season since 1999 and just fifth seven-win regular season in school history. The Highlanders will now wait to learn of their playoff destination, which should be clear after tomorrow’s (Friday’s) games. (See related story, page A4.)

After falling behind early, Cumberland Gap (2-7) rallied to take a 21-14 lead with six seconds remaining in the first half. But the Highlanders struck back with an unlikely kick return for a score as the half ended, seizing momentum that they would not relinquish as they went on an offensive tear in the second half.
