Sybil Stephens, 72, of Oneida, passed away October 9, 2013, at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, surrounded by her family.

Born in Pikeville, Kentucky, May 12, 1941, she was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Eunice Tackett Hampton; husband, Theodore Stephens; sons: Manuel Stephens, and infant, Teddy; brothers: Gary, Ricky, Dean, and Ronnie Hampton; and father- and mother-in-law, Dewey and Junie Stephens.

She is survived by her daughters: Ann Muse and husband, Larry, of Robbins, and Barbara Byrd of Oneida; grandchildren: Cody Muse of Robbins, and Elizabeth Stephens of Winfield; brothers: Bill, Doug, Harold Ray, Stanley, Willie, and David Hampton, all of Lancing, Mich.; sister, Carol Hampton of Lansing, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Patsy Stephens of Winfield; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted October 12, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Byrd officiating. Music was provided by Jamie and Toni Byrd. Graveside service was conducted October 13, at Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.

West-Murley Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
