Stella Evelyn Muse Shannon Branim, 86, of Robbins, passed away September 12, 2013, at home with her family by her side.

Born in Peoria, South Dakota, July 29, 1927, she was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Sindy Neal Muse; husbands: Elvin Shannon and Claude Branim, Jr.; sisters: Joyce Black, Luciene Aubry King, and May Lloyd; brothers, Luther Charlie, and Robert Muse; and granddaughter, Misty Rain Brys.

She is survived by her children: Carol Brys and husband, Howard, of Blue Ridge, Ga,, Marilyn Summers and husband, Frank, and Joseph Dwane Shannon and wife, Sandy, all of Sunbright, and Gail Overton and husband, Larry, of Robbins; step-children: Nola Morgan, Elmer Branim, Mary Branim, Darrell Branim, and Sharon Morgan; grandchildren: Howard Elvin Brys, Sunny Ray Brys, Summer Dawn Annis, Autumn Thurman, Jason Summers, April Summers Daniel, Chris Kaylor, Chanda Patton, Daniel Shannon, Derek Morgan, Matthew and Tyler Lawson, Xavier Shannon, Joshua Allen, Jade Afton Ida, Austin Brys, Misty Hope Annis, Shay Annis, Kelly Annis, Joseph Annis, Cheyenne Skye Thurman, Kenlei Stone Thurman, Brittany Nicole Daniel, James Allen Daniel, III, Christian Shane Daniel, Aaron Xavier Daniel, Jeremiah Gaberiel Isiaha Daniel, Sidney Isiaha Summers, Olivia, Isabella and Noah Patten, Elijah Dean Shannon, and Blake, Georgia, Lauren, and Jackson Kaylor; great-grandchildren: Sage, John-Allen, Fletcher, and Stella, and Kaylee; great-great-grandchildren: Aiden, Addison, Hailey, Aurora, Jaden, and Luke; sisters: Melba June Shannon of Coal Hill, Pauline Shannon and husband, Bob, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Alma Fay Collins and husband, Jim, of Wartburg, and Willie Jean Shaun of Ohio; brother, Andy Muse, Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Oneida;  special niece, Glenna Faye Rogers; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted September 14, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Muse and Bro. Tyler Muse officiating. Music was provided by Glenna Faye Rogers. Interment followed at Shannon Muse Cemetery.

Jones & Son Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
