Eli William (Bud) Phillips, 80, of the Cherry Fork community, passed away May 31, 2013, in Oneida.

Born in Oneida, August 1, 1932, he was preceded in death by his parents, William Westly and Nanny Pike Phillips; wife, Juanita Perkins Phillips; brothers, Cosby and Oscar Phillips; and sisters: Lula Mae Phillips and Cordellia Pike.

He was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons: Joe William Phillips and Tommy Edward Phillips and wife, Janet; grandchildren: Amber Hicks, Erica Phillips, David Phillips, Jeffery Phillips, Adrian Phillips, and Daniel Newport; six great-grandchildren, sisters; Margie Carson, Eva Mae Pike, and Ermie Carson; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted June 3, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Donald Earl Chambers and Bro. Tracy Myers officiating. Music was provided by Donnie Chambers, family, and friends. Interment followed at Phillips Cemetery.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville had charge of arrangements.
