Bette Wright Lambert, 80, of Oneida, passed away May 31, 2013, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Revelo, Kentucky, June 17, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, John K. and Sarrah A. Stailey Wright; son, Thomas Richard ìDickî Lambert; brothers: Chet, Raymond, Bill, and John, Jr. Wright; and sisters, Gene Stephens and Eunice Hembree.

She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church; and gave much of her life to others, caring for her family including her paraplegic son Dick, then working as a nurse for more than 30 years for Dr. H. M. Leeds, Dr. Bruce Coffey, and Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center.

She is survived by her husband, Forest Lee "Foss" Lambert of Oneida; sons: Steve Lambert and wife, Sherry, and Eric Lambert, all of Oneida, and John Lambert and wife, Guinn, of Hixson; grandchildren: Adam-whom they raised, Tony, Dustin, and Jordan, all of Oneida, Craig of Pine Knot, Ky., Kyle and Zack, both of Chattanooga, Taylor of Hayesville, NC, and Kyndall of Hixson; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Carmen, Jacob, Benji, Beau, Presley, Elijah, Houston, Kingston, Kamrin, and Mica; special nephew and niece: Harry Hembree and Pat Bogue and husband, Wayne; sister, Nancy Strunk of Ind.; brothers-in-law: Bill Lambert and Don Lambert, both of Oneida; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted June 3, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Robert King, Bro. Crestin Burke, and Bro. Kyle Keeton officiating. Music was provided by Claudia Tillman, and Black Oak Baptist Church Choir. Graveside service was conducted June 4, at Troxel Cemetery.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
