Pauline Guffey, 87, of Helenwood, passed away April 2, 2013, at LaFollette Medical Center.
Born December 25, 1925, she was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Clementine Conatser Phillips; husband, Henry Jackson Guffey; sons: Charles Lee and James Edward Guffey; brother, Harry Phillips; special friend, Joe Strunk; and brothers- and sisters-in-law: Lawrence Smith, Gertie Belle Phillips, Wilma Phillips, and James Walker.
She was a member of Helenwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Milford Guffey and wife, Elsa, of Dayton, Ohio, Ronnie Guffey and wife, Anita, of Phoenixville, Penn., Steve Guffey and wife, Joann, of Helenwood, Sheila Stringfield and husband, Sam, of Huntsville, and Sharon Clark and husband, Doug, of Oneida; grandchildren: Angie Capley and husband, Lowell, Ryan Clark, Justin Clark, Brandon Guffey, and Stevi Guffey; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Bryce, Celestia, Kristin, McKala, and Blake; great-great-grandchildren, Jasper and Oliver; special friends, Sheila Fisher and Whitney Strunk; and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted April 4, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Roger Cecil and Bro. Robert King officiating. Music was provided by Arnold Stephens, Lloyd Stephens, and Brenda West.
Graveside service was conducted April 5, at Daniel Memorial Cemetery.
Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida had charge of arrangements.
