Harold (Tank) Ellis, 75, of the Annadell community, passed away February 21, 2013, at the Oneida Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born in Scott County, April 7, 1937, he was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Laura Jeffers Ellis; wife, Bertha Ellis; brother, Clifford Ellis; sister, Evelyn Ellis; brother- and sisters-in-law: Alex Buszunski, and Burnell and Virginia Ellis; and nephews: James Allen Buszunski and Joshua Wright.

He was a member of Annadell United Baptist Church.

He is survived by a granddaughter he raised, Toni Byrd and husband, Jamie, and their three children; step-children: Charlotte Strunk and husband, Rusty, Kandy West and husband, David, and Kay Crowley and husband, Eli, all of Scott County; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers: Onvie Ellis, Tivis Ellis and wife, Evelyn, Clifton Ellis and wife, Elizabeth, and James (Billy) Thompson and wife, Jean; sisters: Nora Phillips, Hazel Buszunski, and Vergie McCoy; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted February 23, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Cross and Bro. Roy Massengale officiating. Music was provided by Velva Sexton and Jamie Byrd. Graveside service was conducted February 24, at Annadell Cemetery.

Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville had charge of arrangements.
