Oneida's Lady Indians earned a spot in the District 4-A title game for the first time since 2009 with a 51-36 win over Coalfield in Wartburg Friday evening.

The Lady Indians will face the hometown Bulldogs for the district championship, after No. 4 Wartburg surprised top-seeded and heavily-favored Oliver Springs in a semifinal game earlier in the evening.

All other local teams have been eliminated from the postseason.

Scott narrowly missed a major upset of CAK and a berth in the Region 2-AA tournament when CAK's Oteriah Lee hit a jumper with four seconds remaining Friday to lift the Warriors to a 47-45 win over the Highlanders in the opening round of the District 4-AA tournament.

The previous evening, the Lady Highlanders fell to No. 3 Loudon in the opening round of the District 4-AA women's tournament, while Oneida's men's team was stunned by No. 6 Oliver Springs.

The District 4-A men's championship will feature Wartburg and Sunbright, while Alcoa and Stone Memorial will square off in the District 4-AA men's championship game. The District 4-AA ladies' championship game will feature CAK and Alcoa.
