Scott High football coaches

Scott High’s football program begin in 1971, the same year the school opened. Through the years, 13 men have guided the program. Two of them — Gary Sexton and Keith Shannon — have served as head coach more than once.

The winningest head coach in Scott High’s history, both in terms of wins and in winning percentage, is Jack Diggs, who went 62-61 from 1977 through 1988. Diggs also coached the school’s only district championship team. The second-winningest coach in terms of wins is Keith Shannon, who won 41 games from 2009 to 2017. He did not coach in 2011.

The coach with the most playoff appearances under his belt is Shannon. His teams made six playoff appearances in eight years under his guidance.
