Jerried Jeffers

Jerried Jeffers was the 24th mayor of Scott County, serving in that capacity from 2022 to 2026.

Prior to his tenure as County Mayor, Jeffers represented the 2nd District on Scott County Commission from 2018 to 2022. His mother, retired postmaster June Jeffers, was the first woman elected to County Commission in 2010. She was re-elected in 2014.

Jeffers is a career law enforcement officer, having worked at both the Scott County Sheriff’s Office and for Wackenhut in Oak Ridge. He served on Tennessee’s P.O.S.T. Commission during his tenure as County Mayor.

Jeffers won a two-way race in the 2022 general election, unseating incumbent Jeff Tibbals 3,847 to 2,858.

In his 2026 re-election bid, Jeffers was defeated by Dennis Jeffers in a four-way race.
