Lena Rose Gray, 71, of Helenwood, passed away December 29, 2017, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Huntsville, July 14, 1946, she was preceded in death by her son, Jeremy Gray; parents, Fred and Ophia Phillips Chambers; brothers, Hestle and Harold Chambers; and sister, Juanell Chambers grandparents, Fed and Effie Phillips; .
She was a member of New Life Tabernacle Church; and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who loved her Lord and her special children.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Bob Gray of Helenwood; sons: Bobby (Shonda) Gray, Scottie (Vanessa) Gray, and Tim (NaRicka) Gray; grandchildren: Cody, Porsche, Colton, River, Shayleigh, Jayden, Josilynn, Shantell, and Shaee; great-grandchildren: Kyndyl, Jacklin, and Gracelyn; brothers, Ancil (Faye) Chambers, and Tony and Ollie Chambers; sister, Shirley (Harold) Frye; sister-in-law, Colvia Potter; special friend, Peggy Claiborne; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was conducted December 31, at New Life Tabernacle Church with Bro. James Carson and Bro. Rick Slaven officiating. Music was provided by Charles and Pauline Coleman, Stephanie Melton, and Dustin Smith. Interment followed at Strunk Cemetery.
