Clinton “Dude” Butler, 79, of the Cherry Fork community, passed away November 21, 2017, at Tennova North Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Scott County, December 5, 1937 in Scott County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel West and Elsie Butler; sister, Roberta Jeffers; brothers, Thelbert (Ella Mae) Butler and MacArthur Butler; and nieces, Maudie Sexton and infant, Sharon Rose.
He was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Butler of the Cherry Fork community; daughter, Judy (Curtis) West; niece, Carol (Curtis) Phillips; in-laws: Travis Jeffers, Sam (Brenda) Foster, and Jean Thorne; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was conducted November 25, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Oneida with Bro. Tony Lowe and Bro. Paul Foster officiating. Music was provided by Nanette Duncan and JoAnn Gibson. Interment followed at Foster Cemetery.
