Mary Blevins, 77, of Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Oneida, passed away September 11, 2017, at her home.

Born in the Pine Creek community. July 31, 1940, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence E. and Pearl M. Watson Blevins; grandparents: Joseph and Savannah Bell Watson, and William Houston and Rosa Marcum Blevins; brothers, Billy Joe (Lorene) Blevins, Sr., and JD Blevins; sisters, Barbara S. (Curtis) King, Ruth K. (Harold) Burress, and Flonnie F. (James H.) Phillips; in-laws: Carol Blevins, Pansy Blevins, John D. Jackson, and William J. Bell; and nieces and nephew: Jamie King, Samantha J. Bell, Jennifer Jackson, Jackie Armstrong, and Billy Joe Blevins, Jr.

She was of the Baptist faith and left Oneida and moved to Huntsville, Alabama, in 1961.  She was employed by the Gibson Restaurant as a waitress until she retired in 2012; and was a giving person and loved her family.

She is survived by brother, James Roscoe Blevins; sisters, Lena M. Jackson, Nancy L. (Junior) Ooten, and Bonnie J. Bell; and several nieces, nephews, and all her friends in Huntsville, Alabama.

Funeral service was conducted September 16, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Interment followed at Blevins Cemetery.
