Marc Avery Lackey, 45, of Robbins, passed away August 18, 2017, at Tennova North Medical Center following a long illness.

Born in Hartford City, Indiana, June 27, 1972, he was preceded in death by his father, Virtis Avery “Bill” Lackey; and step-mother, Arbutus Eileen Lackey.

He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and was an avid fisherman and carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Marie Worthington Lackey of Robbins; children: Jonathan Glen Culler of Sevierville, Amanda Rose (Andrew) Lackey, Drew Castor of Hartford City, Ind., Joshua Culler of Robbins, Dustin (Courtney) Lackey, and Lucas Avery Reilly Lackey of Robbins; grandchildren: Zackary Lackey, Matthew Lackey, Autumn Culler and Braxton Castor; mother, Bonnie Sotdorus of Hartford City, Ind.; sisters, Tammy (Jeff) Holloway, and Angela (John) Anderson; nieces and nephew: Jessi, Jami, Joey and Amanda; special family and friends: Odie and Joann Lackey of Honeycreek, Barney Smithers and Randy Lewallen, both of Robbins,  and James and Mae Murphy of Columbia, Ky.; and many other relatives and friends.

The family was to have received friends on Wednesday, August 23, from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Father Ray Powell officiating. His wish was cremation.
