Roy Lee “Sack” Massengale, 59, of Annadell, passed away August 6, 2017, at his home.

Born April 6, 1958, he was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Pauline Lowe Massengale; sister, Lorene Howard; and in-laws: Porter and Elsie Cook Lawson, Sharon Massengale, Linda Massengale, Ruby Massengale, Kay Massengale, Earl Lowe, Sherwood Byrd, Pat Wamsley, and Johnny Lawson.

He was a member of Annadell United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Terri Lawson Massengale of Annadell; sons, Joey (Amber) Massengale and Matthew (Samantha) Massengale; grandchildren: Andrew, Levi, Jacob and Hannah; brothers: Tommy Massengale, Bobby (Wilma) Massengale, J.R. (Davona) Massengale, and  Jerry Massengale; sisters: Glennis Lowe, Ollie (Don) Marlow, and Ireda Byrd, all of Ohio, Madlene Wamsley and Treva (Hurstle) Jeffers, both of Utah, and Sharlene (Bob) Owens of Nashville; sisters-in-law: Lavonne (Kenny) Strunk, Susie (Eddie) Hatmaker, and Pam (Kenny) King; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

The family was to have received friends Wednesday, August 9, from 6 p.m. until time of funeral service at 8 p.m., in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Huntsville with Bro. Dwight Stanley and Bro. J. R. Massengale officiating. Graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 10, at Annadell Cemetery.
