Milford Eugene (Red) Daniel, 94, of Oneida, passed away August 2, 2017, at Tennova North Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Helenwood, March 16, 1923, he was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Josephine Daniel.

He was a member of Pine Creek Baptist Church; and was United States Army veteran of World War II, where he served with the 36th Infantry Division, 5th Army and 144th Infantry.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria June Marcum Daniel of Oneida; sister-in-law, Mildred Irene Foster; nephews and nieces: Gary Don Foster, Michael Suhar, Jim Robbins, Jo Ann Amburgey, Debra Kay (David) Fry, Shirley Murnahan, Thelma Farris, and Charlotte Robbins; and several other nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted August 5, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Marcum officiating.

Interment followed at Marcum-Kidd Cemetery with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post #136 of Oneida.
