Kelly M. Milton Mattie, 78, of Oneida, passed away August 2, 2017, at Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center in Oneida.

Born in Eccles, West Virgina, June 14, 1939, she was preceded in death by her parents, Andy Joe and Ethel Bullock Milton; and sister, Nola DeForest.

She was retired and had worked as a teacher assistant in the Special Education Department of Oneida Special School District; and was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida for over 40 years, where she was a member of the Women’s Mission Union, using her artistic talents in the nursery, on bulletin boards and mission projects.  She was also a member of Oneida Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband, Hillard Mattie of Oneida; daughters:  Kim (Robby) Burress, and Kristy Mattie, all of Oneida, and Tammy (Dale) Martin of Kingsport; grandchildren:  Andrew Martin, Rebecca Martin, Rachel Martin, and Ruthie Burress; brother, Melvin (Margaret) Milton of Jamestown; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted August 4, at First Baptist Church-Oneida with Dr. Randy Pressnell officiating. Music was provided by First Baptist Church Choir. Graveside service was conducted August 5, at Scott Memorial Gardens.
