James David Chambers, 65, of Birmingham, Alabama, formerly of Scott County, passed away July 28, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

Born November 8, 1951, he was preceded in death by his parents,  Blagburn and Ellen Pennington Chambers; and brother, Bobby Lawson.

He was a member of Macedonia Christian Center.

He is survived by his wife, Marona Ann Keeton Chambers of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters: Christy (Wayne) Brown, Melissa (Tom) Jeffers, and Morgan (Adam) Potts; grandchildren: Megan Champion, Sarah Blevins, Nathan, Karsyn Potts, Kamryn Potts, Kadyn Potts, and Kaitlyn Potts; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Nikaleah, Trendon, Carter, Jalen, Willow, and Elliot; sisters: Perlene Sexton, Lola (Mike) Morgan, and Linda (Bobby) Michael; brother, Gary (Glennis) Chambers; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was to have been conducted at p.m., Wednesday, August 2, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Oneida with Bro. Dean Barnes and Bro. Paul Sexton officiating. Music was to have been provided by Zachary Sexton. Interment was to have followed at Sexton Cemetery.
