Alma Rose “Pat” Stephens Hicks, 74, of Winfield, passed away May 15, 2017, at LaFollette Medical Center in LaFollette, surrounded by her family.

Born in Scott County, March 3, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Roxie Stephens; husband, Marvin Hicks; brother, Estol (Susie) Stephens; uncle, Everett Stephens; and cousin, Donna King.

She joined New Light United Baptist Church at the age of 17 and was a beloved life-time member.

She is survived by her children, Darlene Slaven and Randy Hicks; extended children, Tiny (Carl) Cox and Jeff (Mary) King; grandchildren: Wesley Slaven, and Colby and Bryson Hicks; extended grandchildren: Whitney Jeffers, Dalton, Breanna and Nathaniel Cox, Kadyn Trotter and Paul Keith Chambers; special relatives: Melvin (Sue) Stephens, Pauline (Beckham) Eldridge, Louise (Bobby) Phillips, Bonnie Brown, Jennifer Miller, and Nola Gayheart; special friend, Johnnie Posey; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted May 20, at New Light United Baptist Church with Bro. Melvin Stephens and Bro. Jeff Ledford officiating.  Music was provided by New Light Choir and John Waters. Interment followed at New Light Cemetery.
