Ann  “Miss Ann” Parnell Adkins, of Winfield, passed away May 6, 2017.

Born July 17, 1943, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edna Billingsley Parnell; and mother- and father-in-law, Irene and Zola Adkins.

She was a faithful member of Oneida Church of Christ, where she loved teaching the four- and five-year olds and making bulletin boards.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kelly Adkins of Winfield; daughter, Debby (Galen) Anderson of Helenwood; son, George (Lori) Adkins of Johnson City; grandchildren: Kyle Anderson, Matthew Adkins, and Rebecca Adkins; brothers: Bob (Carolyn) Parnell of Wichita, Kansas; Edwin (Ethel) Parnell of Mooresburg, Tenn.; and Mike (Doris) Parnell of Mooresville, Ind.; sister, Brenda Sue Parnell of San Francisco, Calif.; in-laws: Paul and Jo Ann Adkins, Larry and Loretta Adkins, and Bob and Sandra Stewart, all of Winfield; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted May 9, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with speakers Johnny Polk and Larry Cole. Interment followed at Carson Memorial Park.
