L. C. Day, 85, of Huntsville, passed away April 25, 2017, at his home.

Born in Norma, October 27, 1931, he was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Florence Harness Day;  sons: Leslie, Danny, and Benny Day; granddaughter, Krista Gray; brothers: McClintok, Jay Vernon, and D. T. Day; sisters: Wanda Jeffers, Helen Jeffers, and Hattie Day; and in-laws: Delbert Day, Olando Jeffers, Walter Jeffers, and Wilma Day.

He was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lorene Day of Huntsville; children: Anna (Ronnie) Harness, Debbie Day, Rose Day, Billy Joe Day, J. R. (Audrey) Day, and Patrick (Wanda) Day, all of Huntsville, and Norma Jean Gray of LaFollette; grandchildren: Patty Terry of Oneida, Angie Harness, Amy Clowers, Jonathan Day, Courtney Day, Jordan Day, and Shane Day, all of Huntsville, and Josh Gray of LaFollette; great-grandchildren: Caleb, Austin, Corben, Coltin, Lindsey, Kylee, Jakera, Jokila, Dillon, Zachary, and McKayla; great-great-granddaughter, Brylee; sister, Oma (Dorsey) Newport of Huntsville; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted April 28, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Huntsville with Bro. Carlie Duncan, Bro. Dudley Harness and Bro. J. R. Massengale officiating. Music was provided by Lindsey Terry,  Novella Lowe, Courtney Day, Troy Henry, and Jimmy Ray Lloyd. Interment followed at Hutson Cemetery.
