Glenda Ann Jeffers, 70, of the Jakes Branch community, passed away April 24, 2017, at Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
Born in Scott County, August 6, 1946, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Velma Lloyd Chambers; grandparents: John and Kizzie Chambers, and Ben and Myrtle Lloyd; and sister, Judy Ellen Chambers.
She was a member of Jakes Branch United Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 30 years.
She is survived by her family: Diana and Jimmy Wright, Barbara Chambers, Sandy and David “Blue” Day, Terrie and Kenny Potts, Chris, Jody, Lorie, Melissa, Tiffany, Jayden, Destiny, Dylan, Devin, Nicholas, Haleigh, Megan, Gracie, Lucas, and Zane; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was conducted April 29, at Jakes Branch United Baptist Church with Bro. Pete Norman and Bro. Johnny Adkins officiating. Music was provided by Miranda Jones and Tiffany Lay. Interment followed at Dave Chambers Cemetery.
