Jewell Dean Pennington Cox, 76, of Winfield, passed away March 22, 2017, at Tennova Residential Hospice facility in Knoxville.

Born in Stearns, Kentucky, April 3, 1940, she was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Anna Hall Pennington; child, Teeny Cox; grandson, C. J. Humfleet; siblings: Noel Pennington, Brenda West, Joyce Trosper, Denzil Pennington and Jim Pennington; and brother-in-law, Willard Stephens.

She is survived by her children: Philishia (John) Crum of New Richmond, Ohio, Kassie Cox of Covington, Ky., and Kimberly Humfleet of Winfield; grandchildren: Shasta Ponder, Tristen Cox, Tracey Cox, Casey Cox, Dakota Humfleet, River Humfleet, Kyla Shepherd and Daniel Pike; great-grandchildren: Lyndi, Jaxen, Tobi, Sophia, Jaiden, Jacee, Hunter and Brentlee; step-children: Ronnie (Darlene) Cox of Eli, Ky., Greg (Pat) Cox of Russell Springs, Ky., Debbie Cox of Taylor Mill, Ky., and Crystal Collins of Corbin, Ky.; siblings: Paul (Linda) Pennington of Winfield, Wanda (Anthony) Ashcraft of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hoey Pennington  and Carolyn Stephens, both of Oneida, Willa (Bobby) Sexton of Robbins, and Angela (Ricky) Pennington-Holloway of Dalton, Ga.; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted March 25, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Barnes officiating. Interment followed at Trosper-Jeffers Cemetery.
