A Pioneer woman was arrested Thursday on charges related to shoplifting, and police say she used her young son in her efforts to make off with several items of stolen merchandise from the Oneida Walmart, then attempted to pin blame for the theft on the boy.

April L. Roysdon, 36, of the Ditney Trail neighborhood in Pioneer, was arrested Thursday evening by Oneida Police Department patrolman David Lee Stephens, and charged with theft and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

Allegedly, Roysdon used her young son to not only push the cart that stolen items were placed into, but had him place the items into a shopping bag in order to conceal them.
