Edgar Eugene Bushman, 93, of Winfield, passed away March 8, 2017, at his home.

Born in New Richmond, Ohio, September 16, 1923; he was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Leonard and Lorene Grace Jones Bushman; son, Timothy Bushman; and brother, Francis Bushman.

He was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida and VFW Post 5669 of Oneida. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as an Airborne Infantryman (paratrooper) and was awarded a Combat Infantry Badge (CIB), for serving and engaging in combat against enemy forces. He was a machinist/engineer with Cincinnati Milicron and traveled the world for almost 40 years. Upon retirement to Winfield, he purchased the farm his wife grew up on and made it into a tree farm.

He is survived by wife of 69 years, Hettie Bushman of Winfield; sons, Ervin (Kitty) Bushman and Roy Bushman; grandchildren, Megan Meyer, Aaron Bushman and Sarah Bushman; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted March 11, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home. Interment followed at Zilah Davis Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post # 136 of Oneida.
