HUNTSVILLE — The much-debated Litton Covered Bridge Road here is a public route, and must remain open to the public, Scott County Chancery Court ruled last week.

The decision, handed down by 8th Judicial District Chancellor Elizabeth Asbury, handed victory to Scott County Government in its months-long fight to prevent the owners of property on either side of the road right-of-way from closing the little-used and poorly-maintained route.
