Morris Harness, 104, passed away February 16, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Dora Gibson Harness; wife, Alice Etta Jones Harness; son, Bobby L. Harness; brothers: Levi, Eli, Albert, Nelson, Shubert, and Hubert Harness; sisters: Effie Bowling, Lillie Bowling, infant twin Albie Bowling, and Tempie Day; and in-laws: Perry and Minnie Patton Jones, Grace Coker, Lodena Strunk, Alonzo Jones and Willis Jones.

He was the oldest member of Annadell United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sons: Bruce (Kathleen) Harness and Warren (Becky) Harness, both of Annadell, and Jeff (Wilma) Harness of Oneida; grandchildren: Missy Richardson of Paris, Ky., Shelley Jeffers and Sam Harness, both of Knoxville, Misty West of Oneida, Brice Harness of Annadell, and Jessica Crabtree of the Straight Fork community; great-grandchildren: Julia, Zaine, Ethan, Brady, Landon, Audrie, Nicholas and Christopher; sister-in-law, Velva (Bill) Johns of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted February 18, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Stanley and Bro. Keith Marcum officiating. Graveside service was conducted February 19, at Botts Cemetery.
