Glenna Lewis Daugherty, 86, of Oneida, passed away January 15, 2017, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Pulaski County, Kentucky, March 7, 1930, she was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Clara Keith Helton; first husband, Gerald C. Lewis; and brother, Lee B. Helton.

She was a member of First Baptist Church-Oneida; loved her family and her church with all her heart; and was an avid UK basketball fan.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Daugherty of Oneida; children: “Jerry” Mylon (Jonnie) Lewis, and Jann Lewis, both of Oneida; step-son, Earl (Carol) Daugherty of Knoxville; chosen children, Beth Armstrong of Oneida, and Louis Boyatt of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren: Mylon L. Simpson of Cookeville, Leslie L. Pemberton of Oneida, and Gerald Rian Lewis of Knoxville; chosen grandson, Newell Armstrong of Oneida; step-grandchildren: Cheryl Coombs and Richard Daugherty, both of Knoxville; great-grandchildren: Sloane, Kamea, Katherine, and Keira; step-great-grandchild, Jared; sister, Fran Whitis; brother, Joe Helton of Somerset, Ky.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Helton of Somerset, Ky.; special friends from Vine Avenue-Oneida; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 17, at First Baptist Church-Oneida with Bro. David Acres and Dr. Doug White officiating. Music was provided by David Acres and Jane Phillips. Graveside service was conducted January 18, at Sloans Valley Cemetery, Sloans Valley, Ky., with Bro. Johnny Smith officiating.
