HUNTSVILLE — A man wanted by the Scott County Sheriff's Department on an outstanding warrant was arrested Thursday afternoon, but not before meeting the Sheriff's Department's canine officer, Hacon, a little more closely than he might have liked.

Justin Lowe, 35, was arrested and charged with violating his probation. According to a report filed by Scott County Sheriff's Department K9 Officer Daniel Garrett, he and two other officers — drug agent Kris Lewallen and Sgt. Danny Phillips — were searching for Lowe in the area of Ditney Trail east of Huntsville when they learned from residents in the area that he might be hiding out in the woods, on foot.

After 911 dispatchers received a call from a homeowner who said that the door of his Ditney Trail home was standing open, officers surrounded the residence. When no one came to the door, Hacon was unleashed to clear the home.
