Rev. Ronnie R. Duncan, 69, of Oneida, passed away January 4, 2017, at Physician’s Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Scott County, August 9, 1947, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Charlie and Erie Slaven Duncan; infant son, Ronnie Duncan, Jr.; and brothers, Ricky Charles Duncan and Randy Gene Duncan.

He was pastor and founder of Macedonia Christian Center for 18 years; and former member of the Hamblen County Rescue Squad, Scott County Fire Department, Optimist Club, Oneida Police Department, Scott County Ambulance Service, Odd Fellows, Civil Air Patrol, Scott County Sheriff Department; and had a television and radio ministry for nine years.

He is survived by his wife, Eula Jones Duncan of Oneida; daughters, Barbie Llanos and Amber Chambers, both of Oneida; grandchildren: Bretlee, Conner and Allie Privett; brother, Chuck (Peggy) Duncan; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Randall Duncan, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 6, at Macedonia Christian Center with Bro. Phillip Kazee and Bro. Randall Duncan officiating. Music was provided by the Daltons. Graveside service was conducted January 7, at Smith-Forbis Cemetery.
