Ella Mae Overton Felix, 56, of Oneida, passed away January 4, 2017, in Knoxville.

Born in Oneida, March 4, 1960, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lorene Overton; and sister, Kelly Jones.

She was a 1977 graduate of Scott County High School and earned a cosmetology license. In 1980, she enlisted in the United States Army where she served until retirement, attaining the final rank of Sergeant First Class. She traveled to Japan, Egypt, Hawaii, Italy and Germany, and was an excellent leader, proudly taking charge of any situation despite the challenge. She was aggressively loyal, never quitting on anyone in her life and always ended her own bar fights. She was an excellent wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband Frank (Allan) Felix of Haleiwa, Hawaii; son, Eric (Hannah) Felix; brothers, Dewayne (Melissa) Overton and Jeff (Regina) Overton; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted January 7, at Mynatt Funeral Home  Halls Chapel, Knoxville, with Pastor Brian Trapp of Roseberry Baptist Church officiating.
