Benton Joe ‘Benny’ Miller, 56, of the Straight Fork community, passed away September 19, 2014, at Tennova North Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born December 7, 1957, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Norma Jean Miller; sister, Debi Miller; grandparents: Benton and Francis Johnson, and Rev. Richard and Lana Miller; and in-laws, Carl and Geneva Goad.

He was a member of Straight Fork Baptist Church for 46 years, and was a member of the Robbins Masonic Lodge #670, receiving his 32nd degree in the lodge at age 21. He loved to play the guitar, sing, and play with his babies.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Kathy Goad Miller of the Straight  Fork community; daughters: Amy (David) Byrd, Carla Miller, and Romona (Buster) Massengale; grandchildren: Katie, Ashley, Benji, Gracie, and Lil’ Buster; special niece, Joy (Tommy) Silcox and family; special friends: Jerry and Sheree Goad, Jackie and Roger Lawson, Bill and Teresa Miller, Jessie Botts, Nick Miller, and Teresa and Jeff Boshears; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was to have been conducted at 12 noon, Wednesday, September 24, at Straight Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Buster Massengale and Bro. Rick Howard officiating. Music was to have been provided by Trea Byrge and Bill Miller. Interment was to have followed at Adkins Cemetery.
