Joe Miller, 82, passed away August 28, 2014, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida.

Born November 29, 1931, he was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Richard and Lana Violet Miller; wife, Norma Jean Miller; daughter, Debi Miller; sister, Maggie Lay; brother, James “Jim” Miller; and in-laws: Segal Byrd, Fred Hicks, Chet Hinkel, Loren Lay, Buck Lay, and Bill Ayers.

He was a member of Straight Fork Baptist Church for 47 years, a member of Oneida Masonic Lodge #695, and loved to play the guitar, sing, and play with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his son, Benny (Kathy) Miller; granddaughters: Joy Silcox, Amy Byrd, Carla Miller, and Romona Massengale; great-grandchildren: Rissa, Brandon, Katie, Cameron, Ashley, Benji, Ethan, Gracie, and Lil’ Buster; great-great-grandson, Axel; brothers and sisters: Vena “Aunt John” Hinkel, Lois Byrd, Tom (Alice) Miller, Betty Ayers, Wanda (Bob) Lay, Rog (Pam) Miller, Iris (Johnny) Angel, and Mike (Vicki) Miller; sister-in-law, Von Dee Miller; and many other relatives.

Masonic Service was conducted August 30, at Straight Fork Baptist Church. Funeral Service was conducted August 31, at Straight Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Buster Massengale and Bro. Rick Howard officiating. Music was provided by Rick Howard Family. Interment followed at Byrd Family Private Cemetery.
