Melanie Jean “Jeani” Hall, 58, of Oneida, passed away August 24, 2014, at Pioneer Community Hospital of Scott in Oneida.

Born in Newcastle, Indiana, May 29, 1956, she was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Marie Lawson Goad; brother, Billy Joe Goad; in-laws, Phillip Wickliff and Jerry Back; and nephew, Braden Richard.

She graduated from Chrysler High School in1975; and was employed by Pizza Hut for 37 years and as manager for 25 of those years in Oneida. She was very active in the community with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, supported local law enforcement, emergency services, fire departments, and the Children’s Center of the Cumberlands. She loved spending time with her family, friends, cats, and enjoying nature.

She is survived by her son, Matthew, of Oneida; daughter, Angel, of Oneida; father, Dillard Goad; sisters, Casteen Wickliff, and Virgie Bach; sister-in-law, Violet Goad; several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of Indiana; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted August 29, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Smithers officiating. Graveside service was conducted August 30, at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
