Julia Byrd Hatfield, 72, of Huntsville, passed away August 21, 2014, at her home.
Born October 4, 1941, she was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Flossie Lowe Byrd; brothers: Odie, Odeva, and Ray Byrd; and in-laws, Hoyal and Rosella Hatfield.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Hatfield of Huntsville; sons: Steve (Wilma) Hatfield, and Gary (Velma) Hatfield; daughter, Gail Hatfield; grandchildren: Doug, Jeffery, Greg, and Tiffany; great-grandchildren: Jada, Tucker, Pyper, Jordan, and Mercedes; brothers, Mack (Brenda) Byrd and Daniel Byrd; sisters: Alpha Jean Byrd, Glenna (Bud) Scott, twin, Mae (George) Arms, Sheila Robinson, and Deanna Lawson; in-laws: R. C. Hatfield, Bob (Charlene) Hatfield, Charles Hatfield, Gene (Juanita) Hatfield, Sara Shoopman, and Carolyn (Roger) Sexton; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted August 23, in the Chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Eli Crowley and Bro. Adam Hunley officiating. Music was provided by Adam Hunley and Family, Nannie Hatfield, and Cassie and Tannah Patton. Graveside service was conducted August 24, at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
