Pioneer man charged in 2013 death of Oneida resident

CLINTON — A Campbell County man was arrested Tuesday after being indicted by an Anderson County grand jury in connection with the 2013 death of an Oneida man.

Shawn Earl Wright, 27, of Pioneer, was arrested Tuesday by authorities in Anderson County. He is charged in connection with an Oct. 4, 2013, traffic accident that resulted in the death of Christopher Strunk, 32, of Oneida.

The accident occurred at the northbound ramp onto Interstate 75 in Clinton in foggy conditions on the morning of Oct. 4. The indictment alleges that Wright ran a red light at the I-75 on-ramp from S.R. 61, driving into the path of a Ford pickup truck driven by David Kittrell, of a Mississippi address.
