Shirley Faye Chambers, 67, of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away July 12, 2014, at Baptist Health Lexington in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born in Strunk, Kentucky, June 3, 1947, she was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Gladys Davis King; brothers, Don and Arnold King; and sisters, Sandra Sue Chitwood and Patsy Worley.

She had worked as a teacherís aide for the McCreary County Schools; was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church; enjoyed cooking, and taking care of others. She was a special friend to many and always put their needs before her own.

She is survived by her husband, Granville Chambers of Strunk, Ky., sons: Chuck (Dovie) Chambers of Pine Knot, Ky., and Michael (Teresa) Chambers; daughters: Angie (David) Branstetter of Deer Lodge, Kim Chambers of Pine Knot, Ky., Tonya (Rick) Corder of Somerset, Ky., and  Brandi Chambers of Oneida; 12 grandchildren, brothers: Gene King, Ronnie King, Charles (Imogene) King, Lynn (Darla) King, and Denvil King; sisters: Kathy (Richard) Crabtree, Patricia (Wilburn) Heath, Gail (Roger) King, and Gwenna (Anthony) Byrd; special friend, Luther Duncan; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted July 15, at  Pine Knot Funeral Home with Paul Chambers and Bert Burchfield officiating.  Graveside service was conducted July 16, at Silersville Cemetery.
