Ocie Stephens Adkins, 80, of Oneida, passed away July 15, 2014, at Oneida Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Oneida.

Born in Scott County, December 28, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ova and Manilla Webb Stephens; husband, Herman Adkins; brother-in-law, Francis Lawson; and nephew, Arnold Lawson.

She was a member of Upper Jellico Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters: Charlotte (Dudley) Crabtree of Oneida, Marietta (Tony) Bowling of Winfield, and Fay Adkins of Clinton; sons: Lennis Adkins of Winfield, and Bruce (Rhonda) Adkins of Knoxville; grandchildren: Vanessa, Lance, Adam, Anthony, and Devin; great-grandchildren: Colton, Logan, Josilynn, Lily, Adysan, and Braleigh; sister, Vernie Lawson of Indiana; brother, Arlando (Pete) Stephens of Winfield; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted July 17, in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating. Graveside service was conducted July 18, at Adkins Cemetery.
