Florena Jeffers, 98, of Huntsville, passed away July 3, 2014, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
Born in Norcross, Tennessee, July 2, 1916, she was preceded in death by her parents, John J. and Merdie Brown Lawson; husband, Raymond Jeffers; great-grandson, Jadon Jeffers; and sisters, Rosetta Manuel and Pearl Lawson.
She was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Donald Ray (Zelma) Jeffers of Huntsville, Diana (Greg) Finch of Sewanee, and Lynn (Hal) Ward of Powell; grandchildren: Michael Ray Jeffers, Lisa Silcox, Tony Jeffers, Deedra Stitt, Letisha Wingage, Clift Ward, Danielle Ward, and Ben Ward; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Railey, Bobbi, Kody, Lexie, Drew, Scott, Charin, Annalyn, and Judah; great-great-grandchild, Peyton; sister, Marian (Frank) Drager; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.
Funeral service was conducted July 6, at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Ray Jeffers and Bro. Dale Smith officiating. Music was provided by Jodi Jeffers and Bobbi Silcox. Graveside service was conducted July 6, at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
