Property owners inside the Town of Oneida could be looking at a small tax increase next fiscal year, Mayor Jack E. Lay informed the town’s Board of Aldermen at last week’s meeting.

While no formal action was taken on the budget or tax levy for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1, Lay laid out plans that would see the town’s property tax rate increase from $1.08 to $1.15 per $100 assessed value. That would equate to about $17 on a home valued at $100,000.
