Barbara Faye Glover, 82, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed away May 24, 2014, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Born January 11, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson and Rachel Boshears Smithers; husbands: Luke Harness and Raymond Glover; sons: Lonnie Harness and Wayne Glover; daughter, Cheryl Harness; and brothers, J.R. and Tommy Smithers.

She was a retired nurseís aid with Sunrise Nursing Home; enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and bingo; and was a member of Denham Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons: Dean (Linda) Harness, and Jackie (Jennifer) Glover, all of Ferguson, Ky., and Larry Harness of Somerset, Ky.; step-son, Michael (Melissa) Glover of Cincinnati, Ohio; step-daughters: Patty Glover of Franklin, Ohio, Kay Ware of Russell Springs, Ky., and Becky Glover of Science Hill, Ky.; grandchildren: Bryan Harness, Stacie Vaught, Seth Wilson, Tony Harness, Brandi Lyons, Cyndi Armes, Aaron Glover, Matthew Glover, Sheena McKowan, Carlene McKowan, and Ashley Ware; 16 great-grandchildren, brothers: Billy (Faye) Smithers of LaFollette, and Donald Smithers of Huntsville; sisters: Betty Day, Emma Laxton, Margrett Williams, and Mary (Joe) Lowe, all of Huntsville, and Sherry (James) Halcomb of Franklin, Ohio; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted May 27, in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffith and Bro. David Muse officiating. Interment followed at Acorn Cemetery.
