HUNTSVILLE — By a 6-0 vote, with one member absent, the Scott County Board of Education Thursday voted to adopt a resolution to refinance long term debt and save upwards of $200,000 in the process.

That action, coupled with a previous vote by county commission to refinance a portion of its long term indebtedness, is expected to result in a consolidated bond issue aimed at achieving a lower interest rate.
