Gladys H. South, 81, of Oneida, passed away April 29, 2014, at Oneida Nursing Rehab Center in Oneida.

Born September 26, 1932, she was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Winnie ìDenneyî Roberts; husband, Ira Ibe South; sisters: Faye Burnett, Betty Perry, and Toni Roberts; and brothers: Raymond, Charlie, and Arnold Roberts.

She was a member of Clay Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Leroy) Phillips of Winfield; sisters, Hazel Roberts and Ruby Ellis; special friends: Sonja Wilson, Althelen Davis, Shirley Taylor, and Lela Craig; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted May 1, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Oneida with Bro. Wayne Sexton and Bro. John Vernon Thompson officiating. Music was provided by Leroy Phillips and the Nursing Home Group. Graveside service was conducted May 2, at Chitwood Cemetery.
