Janet Faye Phillips Bowling, 57, of the Cherry Fork community, passed away April 13, 2014, at Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Born in Muncie, Indiana, May 4, 1956, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Glen and Betty Beatrice Wright Phillips; brother, Gary Glen Phillips; and sister, Ella Marie Lewallen.

She is survived by her daughters: Christie (James) Newport and Angela (Kevin, Jr.) Hughett; son, Danny Lee Bowling Jr.; grandchildren: Sconie Bowling, Kuneisha Bowling, Tamika Newport, Emily Bowling, and Korey Ray Hughett; sisters and brothers: Pamela Foster, James Russell Phillips, Billy Craig Phillips, and Richard Lee Phillips, all of Indiana, Glenna Mae Hampton, and Edward Odell Phillips; nieces and nephews: Timothy Joe Lewallen, and Kasey, Joseph, Hailey, Pamela Dawn, and Raylee Lewallen; special friends, Mary Sexton and Sandy Babb; and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted April 16, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Harness and Bro. Carlie Duncan officiating.  Interment followed at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
