Celia Foster, 91 of Elgin, passed away April 19, 2014 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Born August 1, 1922, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mart and Della Smithers Foster; son, Charles; step-grandson, Stacey Phillips; sister,  Robertta Brown; and brothers:  Dock, Morris, and Floyd Foster.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Walker; son, Daniel Vern (Ann) Byrge; daughter-in-law, Deanna Foster; grandchildren: Daniel Byrge, Jr., of Allardt, Denise Tompkins, Mary Carson, Chrissy Bertram, and Martha Wright, all of Elgin, and Rachell Newport, Clayton Foster, and Michelle Phillips, all of Huntsville; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren, special nieces and nephew:  Betty Phillips, Geraldine Brewster, and Phillip Foster; and several other nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted April 22, in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Kimbrell officiating.  Music was provided by Mary Carson and her grandsons, Brian Keeton and Daniel Byrge. Graveside services was to have been conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, at Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery.
