OLIVER SPRINGS — Preston Bee's hat trick powered Scott to a 4-1 win over Oliver Springs in a District 4-A/AA matchup here Thursday evening.

Bee scored three of the Highlanders' four goal and assisted on the fourth, as Scott earned its first district win of 2014.

Scott led only 1-0 at halftime but came on strong in the second half. The Highlanders led led 2-0 when Oliver Springs scored on a penalty kick 22 minutes into the second half, but the Bobcats would be unable to complete the comeback, as Scott tacked on two additional goals for good measure.

Miklos Obrusanszki scored the only goal for the Highlanders in the first half, booting it home off an assist by Bee eight minutes into the game to give Scott the lead that it would not relinquish.

While the score was just 1-0 at the intermission, Scott quickly scored in the second half. Bee scored an unassisted goal in the second minute to give the Highlanders enough points for the win, as it would turn out.

After Oliver Springs' penalty kick to cut the score to 2-1 midway through the half, the Highlanders added a couple of insurance goals, courtesy of Bee. The first came off an assist by Obrusanszki in the 34th minute. Four minutes later, Bee scored again off an assist by Dalton Terry.
