Reba Russell Brummett, 86, of Huntsville, passed away April 6, 2014, at Walnut Creek Nursing Home in Kettering, Ohio.

Born in the Paint Rock community, January 10, 1928, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Dillard Jeffers and Flona Helen Laxton; the father of her children, Hermon Franklin Russell; second husband, Odell Brummett; brother, Carl Jeffers; and sisters, Anna Mae Jeffers, and Cassie Faye Williams.

She was a member of New River Missionary Baptist Church, and retired from the Scott County School System after teaching for 39 years in various county schools.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Claude) Cheatham of West Carrollton, Ohio; son, Lonnie (Kathy) Russell of Huntsville; brother- and sisters-in-law: Charlie (Bud) Williams of Oneida, and Louise Hawn, Audrey Fern Russell, and Christine Russell, all of Ohio; grandchildren: Evan Cheatham of Edwardsville, Ill.; Cassandra Cheatham of West Carrollton, Ohio, Alisa Livesay of Centerville, Ohio, and Daphne Lewis of Huntsville; great-grandchildren: Katelin, Kristin, Krista, Chelsea, Jodi, Sarah, Logan, and Sam; and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

Funeral service was conducted April 10, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville with Bro. Jeff Watson officiating. Music was provided by the Heartfelt Singers and Felecia Walker. Interment followed at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
